Outdoor Museum

The Grand opening was held April 25, 1999 with Mayor David Fischer on hand. The display route initially wound along Booker Creek from Fourth St. S. to M.L.King Jr St. S. Since then, it has been expanded to most of the other streets in the neighborhood.
The plaques, mounted on 3 foot tall wrought-iron poles, describe historic homes and some show early 20th-century views of the neighborhood which was first developed when horses and blacksmith shops still served the city’s transportation needs.
